NCC-1701
A Space Game
for Windows 3.1
version 1.00 (c) 1992
Robert W. Feakins
4817 Browndeer Lane
Palos Verdes, CA 90274
(800) 859-3273
Shareware: $20 Registration Fee
NCC1701 is a faithful adaptation of the
mainframe classic StarTrek updated for
Windows 3.1 with graphic animation, an
extensive help file for the newcomer, and
remarkable ease of use lending itself to
play with either mouse or keyboard. This
beauty will make you feel like you're in
command on the NCC-1701's Bridge.
NCC1701 is fully functional and uncrippled
software with only a beginning and ending
dialog box requesting the registration fee.
NCC1701 is programmed in Visual Basic, and
comes with its own Setup program. The files
included in NCC1701.ZIP are:
NCC1701.EXE The Game
NCC1701.DAT Game Data File
NCC1701.HLP Game Help File
README.TXT NCC1701 Installation Notes
for the User
ORDER.TXT An Order Form
VBRUN100.DL_ Visual Basic Run Module
renamed from VBRUN100.DLL
for use by the SETUP program
SETUP.EXE These files are used by the
SETUP1.EXE SETUP program. Run the SETUP
SETUP.LST program from Windows by pulling
SETUPKIT.DL_ down File ... Run and typing
VER.DL_ a:setup (or b:setup)
Shareware vendors wanting to cut down on space may
want to eliminate either the Visual Basic Run
Module or the Setup program (or both). While I want
to discourage this, in some cases it is intelligent
and necessary. Therefore, by receipt of this disk,
you are authorized to make such changes, so
long as you make clear installation instructions
identifying the need for the Visual Basic Run Module
in the users WINDOWS directory, and that the
NCC1701.xxx files must be installed in their own
directory (X:\NCC1701 recommended).
